The steps up to the basilica

The sandstone steps leading to one end of the basilica hall are shown. To their left is the base of a column, which would have formed the first in a colonnade extending down one side of the forum.
To its left is the end of the forum gutter. Underlying the steps are red tiles of the fortress baths.
