The Broadgate statuettes

These five statuettes and a miniature cockerel were discovered close to Broadgate in 1778 in the area adjacent to the forum basilica. They portray four different gods: Mercury (top left and right) Fortuna (centre), Apollo (bottom left) and Mars (bottom right). They were published in the journal Archaeologia (volume VI) and were still in Devon in the 1870s but subsequently disappeared.
