The interior of the museum

The watercolour drawing by Philip le Hardie de la Garde shows the interior of what is now the World Cultures Gallery, perhaps c.1920-35. African artefacts are on open display, wired to boards fixed to the walls. Cases were to be installed in the 1930s.
